This isn\u2019t right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If we are going to work together towards our shared vision of a UK without the need for food banks and a more just society where everyone has enough money to live with dignity, then we need systems like social security to be strengthened so that they pull people of out of hardship, rather than plunging them deeper into poverty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The support package announced by the UK government in May to tackle the increasing cost of living, targeted to people on the lowest incomes, was an important step in the right direction \u2013 but we know this isn\u2019t enough and, collectively, we must keep pushing for change.
